i just got in a wreck on friday in my 1991 volkswagon jetta carat and it has a $6000 loan against it but i found a car lot here the guy thinks he can still take wrecked car as downpayment and have old loan at 18% put on new loan through bank at about 8% interest, i am looking at a 2005 SXT Dodge Neon with some sweet extras for about $11,500 or i have coverage on the loan on the VW now with a $500 deductible which means i could get my car fixed. it still runs great but the front in is smashed up i drove up under a old suburban with a steel hitch and it pushed engine and all back towards interior of car, im not sure if frame is bent or not. any advise on what i should do? thanks in advance for any help!Advise on buying a used car using wrecked car with loan against it?
You had best settle up with your ins and finance company's first. I would be on the phone right now. They may just want to repair the car!!!
