i want to mount my plasma tv on my fireplace wall, to run my cable through i will need to take out 1 brick from the center of the breast, am i safe to do this, once my cables are in place i will then fill the hole with the foam filler stuff, just looking for a cheap and easy way out. grateful of any advice.Builders can you advise me please.?

if there is still a fire place / mantelpiece there (even if it is not in use) and you mount the TV above it, the TV will be to high to view and you will get a sore neck trying to watch it.
take big hammer an knock brick out if it doesn't fall down
when brick is removed you are ok !
is it an open fire - ?
and do you still use it
