Can anybody advise on how to empty my received mail which is more than 18mnths old?

Go through clicking in the boxes to the right of the mail you don't wish to retain. When all are selected then just click on the delete icon/tab and all selected will be gone. In classic you have to do this a page at a time - being aware that if you delete 6 on one page, 6 will come up on to that page from the page below. Can anybody advise on how to empty my received mail which is more than 18mnths old?
i think i would --'tick' on the e mail (s) concerned, then go to 'edit' --go down to 'delete' and then do the same for the others not required. Can anybody advise on how to empty my received mail which is more than 18mnths old?
Click the button called as sender that should select all of the mails. Now click delete. Perform this a few times over again and it shoul delete all of the mail
The first answer is generically correct, which email client/provider do you use? (for more specific advice).
If you have Yahoo as mail server, open your mail box. You will see listed

inbox (empty)

bulk (empty)

Trash (empty)

Just before the (empty) will be a number of how many messages are in each folder. If you have read them all and want to delete all at once, just click (empty) anything that was in each folder inbox and bulk will go to trash. Then click empty trash, poof all gone permanantly.
Just highlight the message and right click and press delete....it will go into deleted folder...click edit, and press empty deleted items folder,,, and they go...forever.
Doesn't matter how old it is you can still delete it in the normal way. Highlight the item you want to be rid of and click on delete. Should go away!
