Can someone please advise the ';swim, kick, pull'; technique for swimming warmups?

At my swimming, we start out with an 800,

a 200 kick, which is just laying on your front or side and kicking with your hands in front of you, or with a kickboard if you have one.

then we do a 200 Pull, which is swimming without kicking, or with Styrofoam boyee between your legs to prevent you from kicking

Finally, a 400 regular swimCan someone please advise the ';swim, kick, pull'; technique for swimming warmups?
It means just what it implies. You swim the crawl stroke for a set number of meters, you then focus only on your kick for a set number of meters, and then only on your pull.

To do the later two many people use a kickboard to help improve their kick and a pull bouy to help with their pull. The bouy is placed between the legs immobilizing them but keeping them afloat so that you can focus on your pull technique.

Pull or is part of the stroke cycle. Catch, pull, release, recovery. Catch is the first phase of the cycle after your hand enters and ';catches'; water, pull is where you ';pull'; towards your body to move forward, release is just after, and then recovery. Can someone please advise the ';swim, kick, pull'; technique for swimming warmups?
yo uusually do the swimm at the end in a long set like a 500 or a 1000 or somthing at a slow pace. for the kick just do a 200 of 50 of each stroke. for the pull do something smaller first thing like a 200 or 250 at medium to fast pace.

first 250 pull (medium- fast)

then 200 kick ( 50butterfly, 50 on back ect...)

500-1000 normal medium paced stroke just to warm you down from the pull.

works great for me hope it helps you
