Could anyone advise which brands of cross trainers are good. I just don't know how much I should spend on it. ?

by cross trainers, i assume you mean indoor cycling products? if so, i woudl recommend cycleops and giant brand trainers. the Cyclotron Mag II trainer (Giant brand) is priced at $160.00. it has a 7 resistance levels handlebar mounted thumb shifter, which is pretty awesome. fits any bicycles. I would say this is the beast bang for the buck. as for cycleops, the Mag Trainer is also rated well. It retails for about $200.00.
