Help! Hollywood video interview, any tips and advise?

I just got a call from hollywood video and they want me for an interview. Could anyone help me with these questions.


1. Why do you want to work here?


2. Why should we hire you instead os someone else?


3. What do you know about our company?





and is it a good company to work for?

All the answers have to come from you -- Why do you want to work there--do you like the games/videos/dvd's. Do you have a friend that works there? Ask some of the employees why they like working there.


Why should they hire you--what do you have to offer them? Are you knowledgeable about their product? Are you good at customer service? Do you even like working with the public? What are you going to do when some guy comes in raving like a lunatic because his DVD was scratched? How are you going to help -- and Don't say -- ';I'd get my manager';. You need to say what YOU would say to the customer and what steps you would offer Before you go to the manager. You need to prove that you are a problem solver, a team player and that you will work towards ensuring customer service!


What do you know about Hollywood Video? Why did you apply there? Google them -- read about them, go to www.hoovers.com and get the available company info.





Oh yes--and if you don't know already--make sure you go dressed nicely to the interview. You don't have to wear a full suit -- unless your applying for a Management Position -- but your Sunday best or a Nice button down shirt and Tie would be great. Don't for get your hair!! 2) Part of your answer can be the same as (1). Also say that you work hard, show up on time, not afraid of change and a fast learner.
