Although they are educated on all sort of problems. They study for very many years in order to be priest and, they know a lot.
Take care!How can priests advise people on marital problems when they have no idea what it is like to be married?
The Catholic church does not go by the bible they go by the catechism. A bunch of man made rules that don't even line up with the bible. The word of God says that a man can not lead a group of people in church or as a spiritual leader unless he has a family of his own. 1Timothy 3:2 Now the overseer or bishop must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate.......etc......verse 4..he must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with proper respect.
This verse describes any leader in church. But the catholic church somehow ignores this verse to fit their own doctrine.
One does not have to be a drug addict to counsel on drugs and addition, on does not have to experience certain things in order to help others with certain problems because the word of God is full of counsel and those are God's words and thoughts and statues and laws and God wasn't a drug addict or in need of any counseling. His cousel is good enough without having to be one of the ones in need of it. But if God says that a man has to be a spiritual leader at home first in order to be a successful one in church, then that is what he has to do. So far the catholic church has been a poor example.
If priests couldn't talk about marriage since they've never been married then they might as well not talk about alcoholism since their not an alcoholic, drug abuse since their not abusing drugs, politics since their not a politician, etc.
How can a doctor advise you if he hasn't had what you have? Education.
How can a man who has never had a baby be a gynacologist or a pediatrician, or how about a person who has never tried drugs speaking out against it. You can present an informed opinion on something without ever experiencing it.
Would it be better to get marriage advice from a therapist who has probably been divorced a couple times???
