I am 29 and am considering joining the RAF to become a medical officer - Any advise on what the job is like?

First you join up, then you get on a plane to the Iraqi desert. Then you get hit by a missile or bomb attack and scatter yourself over a large area.I am 29 and am considering joining the RAF to become a medical officer - Any advise on what the job is like?

Do you mean a doctor, medical assistant or nurse? My exhusband was a medical assistant. He used to work in the office or be on stand by at weekends as a paramedic. It seemed an OK job but I'm not sure if they let people join at 29. There was a nurse there who was a civilian. He never used to get sent anywhere and was always at home so I got fed up with him lol.
i think its a good plan! good pay, cheap accomodation, and you'll get to meet amazin people! plus, you'll get better training in the RAF, so i'd say go for it!
Dont do it!
