I love fuji persimmons. Can the tree grow in southern californiaand if so how large does it grow? I do not have a lot of room so space would matter. Also how many fruit does an average tree produce? lastly if those data points work out where would you buy a tree?I need advise on Fuji persimmons?
You can definitely grow the Fuyu Jiro (I do not know of a Fuji Persimmon) persimmon in your back yard in Southern California. Here is some great data and on the Fuji along with mature size etc. and you can purchase the tree from them. http://www.naturehills.com/product/fuyu_鈥?/a>I need advise on Fuji persimmons?
Yes they grow in So.Ca. My brother had several in the City of Orange.
It is not a large tree, and they produce quite a lot of fruit. But in So.Ca. you will want to leave them on the tree longer. They are a lot better if they get a frost before you eat them.
