I need advise on going back to school.?

I would like to go to college but am not sure where to start. I tried takeing an entrance exam for a LPN program but I could not pass the math section. I also do not have any money at all to put towards school. I know I need a tuitor or math classes but cant afford to pay for them, are there any free options? And what are my options as far as grants? Thanks!I need advise on going back to school.?
Is the LPN program at a community college? If so, they should have a free tutoring center. You'll have to be enrolled in classes beforehand though. You could take a developmental math class, along with some non-nursing classes that count toward the LPN program. Or try checking out a math book at your library.

To pay for tuition, try FAFSA first. Then try for scholarships listed below. A hospital or nursing home may help pay for your tuition also. You may have to be working for them first though. Look for an entry level job on their website. Hospitals hire plenty of CNAs. If they say no to the LPN program, you can always try for RN.I need advise on going back to school.?
First you should start by looking into different colleges around your area. Set appointment and go check them out even if you don't enroll that day at least you have the option to go back and enroll. Secondly at each college talk to a Financial aid officer. They will most likely get you to fill out a FASFA and tell you about the grants they offer and if you are eligable for them. Then tour the school and ask a lot of questions such as: What is all included in the tution? Will I have to pay for my books extra? Do you have free tutoring? What time and days to you offer classes? Make sure you know everthing you want to know before you make any decisions and be sure the school you choose is right for you!! Good Luck!!
The poster about the fasfa loan is right. Pick your school ad ask them to help you. As to math, most colleges, especially 2 yr program places, have remedial mat classes that will bring you up to speed on math to be able to begin the college math classes. Best wishes. Good luck.
You can do anything you put your mind to!

Although I went back to school at a later age (children almost grown) I find myself busy with errands, work, shopping, chores, etc. I have stopped and started with school too many times to count. But I finally made it up in my mind to continue with my education.

There are alot of options out there for you to continue with school: Online, Adult Learning, etc.

I am a living witness it can be done! I have a 3.95 gpa!

When I first got started I went to this site and found some excellent resources for continuing my education. I havent paid a dime to go to school. The schools will work with you. Although we do have to pay back our loans once we are finished with our education.
