Please advise me. 9 wks, 2 days pregnant and today i saw what i think is spotting.?

I found that there was some blood (it looked old as it was quite dark) mixed in with the discharge . I've noticed increased discharge during my pregnancy and this is the first time i've noticed blood. It was only a very little blood and it seems to have stopped already. I haven't really had abdominal pains with it anymore than usual (i've had a bit of cramping since week 4 and in weeks 8 and 9 i've had sharp pinging sensations which feels like elastic bands popping inside me but they are bearable sensations rather than agonising). Of course I am worried that this is the beginning of a m/c but then you do hear of people having mild spotting in pregnancy. What do you think? Please advise me, i'm worried. Please advise me. 9 wks, 2 days pregnant and today i saw what i think is spotting.?
i am 27 weeks pregnant and at 5.5 weeks i had spotting, i was scanned and the midwife said it was old blood being expelled as it was brown and fresh blood is red. she said it was probably from implantation. she also said it was likely that a little blood vessel in my cervix had ruptured due to increased volume and pressure of blood, the cervix is highly vascular during pregnancy, and these vessles would repair themselves.

2 years ago, i miscarried my first baby at 9 weeks gestation, i experienced what is called a missed miscarriage. i had no signs, no bleeding, no cramping. i didnt find out until i went for my 12 week scan and they said there was no heartbeat.

the point is, there can be blood there, and everything be fine, or no blood and everything can go wrong. whichever way, if you ever see blood, consult your dr, there is most likely a simple explanation.

good luck xxxPlease advise me. 9 wks, 2 days pregnant and today i saw what i think is spotting.?
if you have had sex or a vaginal examine it my just be spotting from that. If worried then call your ob.
It could be from having sex. Sometimes that can happen. But You should call your doctor. I had some bleeding that was heavier but tapered off to what you are talking about and now I have nothing. When I went to the doctor I found out I have plecenta previa. Now don't panic. This can heal over time and you can have a normal delivery and everything. But it is important to know because you will need a C section if it does not heal. If you don't get the Csection you could lose a lot of blood. Now I know it all sounds very scary but it's better than misscarrying and it's always best to know if something is wrong. Your doctor will make sure your cervix is not opening and may even do an ultrasound. It is scary but I'm here for support if you need. I am currently going through this now. I am on bedrest because my bleeding was so bad. Just please get checked by your doctor because they can save you and your baby by knowing the cause before it becomes a problem.

p.s. call me if you need someone to talk to. I'm coping pretty well now and maybe I could help you get there too if you have the same problem. (313)515-7715

p.p.s. it could be nothing because some women have a full period through their whole pregnancy. Just go to the doctor ASAP and that way you can find out what if anything is wrong.
Some women ';Spot'; the entire 40 weeks, but 90% of them dont. Its best you call your OB right away! There is also medicine that you can take to stop the ';Spotting'; as long as its not a M/C.....But hun call your doc and the best of luck to you sweetie!
I'm also 9 weeks, and have had the same things going on. If it stopped already, I really wouldn't worry about it. Of course, if your freaking out you should call your doctor. Really though, unless your really bleeding or having bad cramps, your probably good. Best of luck to you!
I spotted for about 3 weeks straight. It started at 5 weeks and stopped at 8 weeks. They told me my placenta had tore away from the wall a little and that is what the spotting was. Abdominal pains are normal in pregnancy as long as it is not unbearable pain. If you are really that worried go see your doctor.
Spotting can be normal. And you usually spot after an exam (pap) or sex too (your cervix is more blood filled and ';sensative'; so any thing that may touch your cervix can cause spotting. I've have three kids, and pregnant with my fourth. With my third I spotted at 12 weeks and it came out fine. With this pregnancy, I spotted at 5 weeks, and it also was nothing. Call your Dr. is you're worried. Better to get advice from them than worry yourself to death. Best of luck!
1st of all, RELAX. stressing out won't help. And b/c it was brown, it sounds okay. I too had light brown spotting like that at 9 weeks. Brown means its old blood. Maybe u bled a little during sex recently and it's just now making it's way out. As long as you're not having extreme cramps ( little cramps in the beginning are normal bc ur uterus is rapidly growing) and as long as it's not bright red, you are fine. If it makes me feel better, call your Dr. But it sounds like all is well.

Take care!!
Even though I am no Dr. sometimes you do spot bleed. It could be just extra hormones. But just to be on the safe side you may want to be checked out by a Dr.
As an EMT, I have heard of women who have had spotting during pregnancy and everything has been normal. However, you never know and it is better to be safe than sorry. Also, those ';sharp pinging sensations'; are NOT normal. It may be a sign of ectopic pregnancy, or pregnancy outside of the uterus. If that is the case, it may require surgery and/or you may never be able to have any more children. I'm not trying to scare you, but you must look at all possibilities and have an ob-gyn run some tests to make sure you and the baby are OK.
I had some spotting and cramping with my 2nd and my 3rd children and I have 3 beautiful kids so don't worry too much but I would still let your OBGYN know so they can make sure all is well. Good Luck!!
