I have been getting viruses passed on my yahoo messenger please advise if you can?

As far as i know i am not passing any viruses but am getting them from contacts. They are being passed by asking me to click on a website. I only clicked one time and Norton's got rid of the virus quickly, but I keep getting them. They are all coming from contacts in India.I have been getting viruses passed on my yahoo messenger please advise if you can?

# Double click the .reg file and click yes when it asks whether you want to merge the file to the registry. This will enable the regedit and task manager tools and restore your home page and other settings.


# Then restart the computer


# After restarting Press Ctrl + Alt + Del . Click Processes.


End the process svhost32.exe . ( may be more than one process is running )


# Start%26gt; Search %26gt; Files and folders. Search for svhost32.exe , svhost.exe and enet.exe


# Delete the files found.


# Restart for good luck.

5. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del





Kill the process svhost32.exe . ( may be more than one process is running.. check properly)





6: Delete svhost32.exe , svhost.exe files from Windows/ %26amp; temp/ directories. Or just search for svhost in your comp.. delete those files.





( Svchost.exe is a generic host process name for services that run from dynamic-link libraries (DLLs).( meaning there is an original svchost.exe that is part of Windows - support.microsoft.com/kb/31405 )





7: Go to regedit search for svhost and delete all the results you get. ( Be careful )





Start menu %26gt; Run %26gt; Regedit %26gt;





8: Restart the computer.
Yahoo has something called open ports....and if your not carful you will get a virus or hacked....because Yahoo is on of the easyest programs to hack and it is very virus pron......I know we had to get a whole new hardrive because of yahoo........
