Work after 9 years at home, any advise i am in my early 50's?

Get good shoes.

The problem with re-entering the work force is that while you are probably capable of doing all sorts of work, you will be competing with people who didn't leave the workforce. That means more desirable jobs will be harder to get.

To get back into a specific field, you may have to sign on with a temping agency and take some classes at the local community college to brush up on your skills. (If you take classes, you can sometimes get access to the career office.)

Temping is often a way back into full time secretarial work as well...one relative commented that any place she was sent to promptly offered a fulltime job when they saw she was quite capable. (The problem was, she had an inflated idea of what she was worth and turned them all down.)

Customer Service is the most likely area to get hired in. This can be anything from retail at Sears to working at a call site. The pay starts out low and can stay low...but any job that gets you back into the workforce is a good one. If it offers health care and possible pay raises, even better. The downside is the hours can terrible and if it's retail, you will be on your feet all day.Work after 9 years at home, any advise i am in my early 50's?
Are you planning on going back to something you did earlier? You don't share your skills/degrees. I have many returning students in class these days (I'm a psych college prof). You need first of all to decide what you are skilled at, and not focus on your age. Go to a local community college or community ed center, brush up on your computer skills...they will be needed no matter what you do. Pull together a resume (lots of examples on the internet). You need to build on your skill set, vs. asking others who know nothing about you what you should do! Do not go for the internet jobs, they are all frauds....You will find something! I just helped 2 women in their 50's with resumes, and some job coaching...both are now employeed...within the month!

GOOD LUCK!Work after 9 years at home, any advise i am in my early 50's?
Do a work form !home system! I have tried many “work from home” systems and all have failed! However I just got in to a system a few months back and it is the best thing ever!! I work just a few hours a day and I bring in LOADS of cash. It’s not that hard do but with anything the more time you put into it the more you will get out. Best of all there’s no selling, no products!! Shoot me an email if you want more information I will be happy to tell you about it!
